We are thrilled to announce the triumphant results of the Colibra project, where a multitude of compelling submissions showcased the diverse talents within our scientific community. The evaluations were based on the scientific or diagnostic value, relevance to scientific and general public interest, and the project's feasibility within a specified timeframe and sample quantity.
First Prize Awarded to "Fabry's Disease" Project
Taking home the coveted first prize is the project "Fabry's Disease," led by the talented researcher Nika Breznik from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. As the winner, the project receives complimentary RNA sequencing for 5 samples on the Illumina instrument. We will cover the sequencing costs for these RNA samples, with the RNA isolation costs not included. The quality of RNA will be determined according to the Illumina protocol.
Second Prize Bestowed upon "Agrogenomics" Project
Securing the second position is the "Agrogenomics" project, spearheaded by researcher Anton Govednik from the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana. The victorious project will be rewarded with a free visit to the Illumina educational center located in Milan.
Third Prize Granted to "Enterobacteria" Project
The third-place honor goes to the "Enterobacteria" project, led by researcher Tina Triglav from the Institute of Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. The winning project will receive a 50% discount on sequencing services and complimentary consultation and assistance in sample analysis from our experts.
We must express our excitement and appreciation for the submissions and the demonstrated interest.
Thank you once again for your dedication!
This project has highlighted the power of collaboration, making us all true winners. The shared enthusiasm and commitment displayed throughout the submissions have reinforced our belief in the potential for impactful scientific cooperation.
Congratulations to all participants, and we look forward to witnessing the continued success of these groundbreaking projects.
